Because of the last minute change from one fair ground to another, our hotel was a 20 minute drive from the show instead of 5.
But, a nice drive…

No problems getting there early and finishing setup.

This was taken after the time all cars should have been off of the grounds.

The fight being practiced on the right was the one that caused problems later.

Our stage was less than ideal. We did most of our show on the grass around it.

This year we did NOT break a sword cutting fruit.

We did our historical show with no problems.

I had decided on a silly costume.

I bought 100 feathers. I put 25 new ones in every show along with all the ones that survived the previous shows. So, it got more silly as it went on.

Our first pirate show of the day is where we had the injury. No photos of it.
We try not to call attention to accidents.

But, some of the rest of that show…

The boy of glass is on the left with the gauntlets I bought him after he hurt his hands. He was great!

Our friend [profile] gabriel_majere stopped by. Sadly, he’s had a stroke and has trouble speaking now. He’s a decade younger than me, so that’s concerning.

We got good crowds. About 5000 a day.

In the second show, my wife did the fight with Casey that the woman of glass had in the morning without problem.

You can see they were very worried about it.

The show went on.

Normally there are a few hours between the sword shows and the fire. This time, only 1 hour. So, it felt rushed.
But, it still looked good.

Then, off to an all you can eat place for dinner.

Some food was lost.

It was another early night with no problem sleeping.
