Shrinking…

I had forgotten yesterday was my annual physical and thought it just a check up due to my eye. So, I was surprised when they did a lot more tests.

It turns out that at 53 years old I have officially shrunk. I used to be six foot three inches (190cm), but now have officially shrunk to six foot two inches (188cm).
OK, maybe not the end of the world or anything. But, at this rate pretty soon I’ll be able to get into our apartment by walking under the door without opening it.

She agreed to keep me on just one blood pressure pill as there is evidence it gets low at night. But, she wants to make it bigger as she thinks it is still too high in the daytime.
My personal tester got within 10% of her reading, but she thinks it "unreliable" as it was 7% off. And, mine came in higher. So, I think that if mine says it’s in a good range, and reads higher, that things should be OK…

Today I went to the dentist and had a tooth drilled out for a crown. The good news is I didn’t need a root canal. It wasn’t clear when he started if I would or not. But, it looks like not. (Assuming all heals well…)

I think I have a bit of a cold, so stopped on the way for some cold medicine. It’s good I did as to get to the tooth he practically had me upside down for almost an hour. If I had trouble breathing through my nose that would have been really awful. (Instead of just plain awful as it was…)

I really want to flag down a Culture GSV and get an upgrade. New teeth, rebuild the frame and tune everything up.
The last GVS was in system 40 years ago. They should be back soon, right?

My mother was VERY upset when she shrank down from 6' to 5'11" She swears by rolfing twice a year to keep her height.

I remember a conversation happening in the dark room at high school one day while we were in photography class. It was about how you shrink when you get older.
At one point in the conversation, everyone else turned around and looked at me. "Well, you're screwed" was the comment I received...

I don't have much hair either lol. It's very thin and fine.

It's all good. I'm still over 5' (just) so I'm happy with that.

be grateful you dont have degenerative disc disease. my great gramma lost 6 inches. she was so bent over she couldnt lift her head, couldnt even lift her chin to look at you.

that sucks. my gramma has lost a couple inches, but nothing as bad as my great gramma. even my mom has lost at least an inch. they say your feet get wider as you get older too.
