Monday was a federal holiday, but not one a lot of folks get off. (Martin Luther King Day.)
We had a small amount of snow for the holiday.

It was about 2-3"(5-8cm) of snow.

I think a rabbit of some kind had been out in the snow.

They are normally not out this time of year. But, it’s been a very warm winter, so I guess they are still around.
Despite the small amount of snow, there were still driving problems.

Not sure what happened, but some sort of accident.

Not a good time to be in an accident…

By evening, all was well.

It’s almost not dark when I go home these days.

But, it’s certainly dark when I get home.

The last of the cards

I had the last of my leveling characters hit level 100 this week.

Now I’m helping my wife grind of a mount she wants.
As I’ve posted about, there has been an impending blizzard all week. There was no way to know if it was going to reach us or not. So, the weather report was jumping back and forth all week long.
By Friday night, it was certainly cloudy and pretty clear we’d at least get the edge of the storm.

It is a huge storm. And, it has caused massive problems. More than a dozen folks have died as a result. Multiple feet of snow south of here.

And, still cold.

But, by morning today there was still no snow.

My wife, really, really wanted some Indian food. So, we drove off to our favorite place 20 miles (32km).

It was, as it always is, very good.

We brought home extra for tomorrow in case we really do get a lot of snow.
There were signs of a lot of snow moving equipment having been moved around.

The flags on one side of the hill where we live were being blown north, the other side of the hill was blowing south. So, where we live was right on the limit of the storm and the weather front north of here.

We did stop at the store on the way home. I am very uncertain about a Darth Vader toaster.

It seems mean for someone who suffered such burns…
I did not invest in one.
Still, not much snow when we got back.

But, it picked up soon.

I’ve always liked the texture of snow.

When night fell I took my lasers and shot them into the snow.

It’s what I do for nighttime snow storms.

We’ll see what the storm has left in the morning…
