Return of the luggage.

I called Are Lingus about my luggage this morning at the appointed time and number.
I left a voice mail. I explained I needed to come to Boston to get the luggage so I could get my keys and car.
I called again and left another voice mail. I repeated everything.
Then, they left me one when I was in a meeting. They confirmed all I had said.
I left them one when I got the message. Confirmed their conformation, and repeated my instructions.
They left me one when I was in another meeting saying they would get there this afternoon.
I left them one saying I’d be there in Boston to get it.
I left work early and drove to Boston. I returned the rental car and went to the terminal.
No one was at the luggage station. So, I called.
"We have you’re luggage, we’re going to ship it to you," the first person I actually spoke with about it that day said.
"No, you’re not," I said. "I’m here in Terminal E to get it as I have said many times in many messages today."
"You’re here?"
"Yes. Where is my luggage."
There was a pause.
"Go to the check in counter," he finally said.
I went there. The same woman who took our information about the luggage was working behind the counter.
She looked at me.
"You’re here for missing luggage. Mr. Hunt, right?"
"Correct."
"I’m psychic that way," she said.
"And, I left you four messages about it today."
"I’ll have someone bring out your luggage."
And, only a few minutes later, someone did.
I got my keys out of the case, got my car out of the garage and got home and unlocked the doors.
Yay.
So, why did it get lost?
