Godkids visit day 6, with photos!
Aug. 16th, 2015 12:14 pmWe started the day by visiting my wife’s workplace.

It was a beautiful day.

The kids were very excited.

Our Goddaughter had her "scavenger hunt" things to get. One of them was a LEED certified building. There was one on the campus of the university where my wife works.
But, it involved some walking around campus.

We did find the building.

Another thing needed was alternate power.

As we came down the hill from the windmill, a van was following very close. As we stopped at a traffic light, he didn’t. Good thing was he was going very slowly. So, no damage to the car.

This was his van and him.

Then, off to the Worcester Art Museum.

The kids were very excited.

But, they really did like the Samurai exhibit.

And, bonus for books!

The bunny wave was very popular.

But, the seemed to like the traditional art style of video game characters.

There was one that stumped them for a long time.

Turned out to be "Kirby".

(This was fore shadowing for game night, but we didn’t know it at the time.)
Then over to the arms and armor exhibit.

They were surprised to find Batman.

And, they wanted a photo of this.

I brought them to see my favorite sword.

And, the Asian jade was also very popular.

As was the Asian stuff in general.

Then, lunch at the museum.

Then, off to Art in the park.

Lots of art.

We saw this one being made 2 years ago. http://fbhjr.livejournal.com/782133.html

We also got the big tree needed for the scavenger hunt.

We also saw the bridge based on the Japanese print we saw in the museum Sunday. http://fbhjr.livejournal.com/1015455.html

Then, off to get food for the cook out at Game Night. For some reason, traffic was REALLY bad.

Of course, meat retail was on the scavenger hunt list, so 2 for 1.

We also visited Iron Man.

Then, game night.

We started by playing Bocce:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bocce

Even the rabbits were impressed.

Our Goddaughter spent time talking with

Then, like last month, playing Superfights!

We did not stay too late as we had an early morning Saturday. And, I misplaced the camera and it took a while to find it.
Over all a busy day, but good.

It works out well for us. We'd rather do museums than amusement park rides too!
