Today was one of the local days we had planned. So, not having to go too far, I made a big breakfast.

(You know there is a method in my putting the lower effort days at the end of the week...)

When we went over to a miniature golf course near where we live.

None of us is in any danger of becoming professionals at this.

But, we still got ice cream at the end. (It was a package deal. I got Diet Coke instead…)

Then off to the lake between us and Worcester.

We rented paddle boats and took to the open lake.

We divided the boats on gender lines.

I had trouble hearing over the shouts of "we’re tilting too far to one side! We’re taking on water! I should have gone in the other boat! No offense…"
I’m not saying who was shouting these things…

I was also informed that the ladies ship was escaping us.

So, I helpfully took my feet off of the pedals so I wouldn’t slow us down any more…

For some reason after that, my presence in the boat was more tolerated. 4 feet on pedals, we did catch up with the other boat.

Our Goddaughter has a "scavenger hunt" she is doing over the summer. Most of the things are environmental in nature. One was "ride public transportation".
So, off to the train station.

We took the train out to where the veterinary school she is thinking about is located.

The conductor seem surprised we only went one stop, but we still got off.

My wife picked us up at the station.

(Yes, she had dropped us at the first station, gone and done some shopping, and then picked us up at the second so we could ride public transportation…)

We got to see a small part of the school.

We did stop at a farm stand near there too.

Got a lot of nice, local grown, fruit.

Then the 15 minutes home from there.

For dinner we made pizza.

There was much debate about the correct amount of cheese to put on them.

But, everyone seemed to like the final product.

The correct amount of cheese on pizza is loads, of course. Unless you are allergic! ;-)

Those plums look gorgeous ... I really like plums ... yum.

sheeeeeeeezzzz talking about having a -healthy- breakfast!!
And do you put anything on top of it? Like sugar or so?

Maple syrup is traditional here. That's mostly sugar.
But, not powdered sugar. If you get them in restaurants that is more common.

for us that's something we might eat at teatime. NEVER as breakfast. I like my breakfast to be savory.
