Tuesday was my cousin’s birthday. So while she was off with her mother doing birthday things, we got the car washed. It really needed it. It was covered with salt and sand from up north and you could hardly see out of some of the windows.

We were surprised to find the wax in Florida is multicolor. But, as long as it works.

Then over to my other cousins to gather for lunch.

They have a very nice view. We didn’t see any alligators.

The restaurant for lunch was close enough we walked over.

And, saw various animals on the way.

After lunch, cake balls and presents were done, we went off to Epcot with Mariness.

It was a bit crowded as it was a vacation week, but not as bad as we had feared.

As before, we always see the fish.

The purpose of the trip was to wait for the fireworks. It was not long before sundown we got there.

We did shop a bit there, and got more glowing dragons.

We had dinner at the Japanese place.

But, desert in the Norway place.

Yes. Viking chocolate moose.

I bought a flashy head thing so people could find me.

It started to get cold. 55F/13C with a wind cold. While still warm compared to home, I was in a thin short sleeve shirt and could feel that wind.
But, when they lit things on fire it felt better.

Lots of folks joined us by the lake when the fire started, but we had been there first and were up front.

The fire works involve a big, glowing, projection planet Earth.

They play “Let there be Peace on Earth” while exploding lots of things.

To me, this is confusing.

I’m not saying Epcot kicked us out, but they were wishing us a big goodnight.

Mariness’ brother was coming to pick her up, so we took the monorail to get to the pickup location.

The location had changed, so it took him longer than expected to get there.
It was a fairly cold windy spot they expect you to wait with very little in the way of shelter.

I guess Disney doesn’t care so much about your experience when you’re leaving the park.

Although it did seem to take a while, the actual clock indicates we really weren’t there very long before her brother showed up and we got a monorail back to our car.

On the way I did use one of the apps on my iPad to try and identify some of the constellations overhead.
It gave me a somewhat strange result for that red star.

It was a very impressive fireworks display.
Almost daylight bright.
