Errand Day

I got a face full of dog when they decided that I should get up. Gracie needed to pee but used the litter box in there. That works.

Well crap. The return label for the laptop isn’t printing. I just ordered new ink. Maybe I should stop at Staples today and also get more and return it tomorrow.

Gracie has figured out how to go upstairs! But she hasn’t figured out how to get downstairs, so I had to carry her downstairs. She and Bella swapped food again. Oh hell, she went upstairs again. I think that I’ll wait until after my shower to bring her down because Bella scratched my legs when I brought her down. But wait, I was going to wear shorts. Hmm. I threw some jeans in the wash. Oliver stuck his claw in my leg, so I removed him.

Whenever I go to South Carolina, I’d also like to go to Asheville in North Carolina. I found a senior living place that I’d like to check out.

Nap time. Woke up a little before my alarm. Gracie figured out how to get downstairs.

My massage was very nice (hot stone this time, which helps unlock my muscles). Whatever part she hadn’t rubbed yet felt tense. I was good and relaxed when she was done. She invited me to use the new sauna, but I said that I had errands to run. I forgot that it was 1.5 hours, so I didn’t make it to the UPS store. Plus, I was very hungry. I’ll go tomorrow. Stopped at Steak and Shake for a bite to eat. Got printer’s ink at Best Buy. Bought two more lamb toys at PetSmart so that Bella and Gracie each can have one (although I could see Bella trying to take them both). I also bought cat ball toys that probably will get stepped on. Went to Prairie Gardens and bought a Boston Fern for my porch, two enormous spider plants for the kitchen, and two more coneflowers. All were on sale.

Bella and Gracie were thrilled that I came home. Gracie is now taking the stairs upstairs and downstairs like a champ.

Fed us all. I have the shakes. Placed a grocery order for tomorrow.

Oh hell. I didn’t get the mail, which has Bella and Gracie’s new collars, but I don’t want to go back out in the heat.

I’m thinking of going to bed REALLY early to get up in the cool morning. I really want to weed and plant tomorrow. And drop my returns off in the afternoon. And maybe go to the other garden shop.

I don't know why Semagic keeps saying that my DW password is invalid.

125,000-year-old ‘fat factory’ run by Neanderthals discovered in Germany

Stone Age humans living by a lake in what’s now Germany systematically processed animal carcasses for fatty nutrients — essentially running what scientists describe as a “fat factory” to boil bones on a vast scale, according to new research.

Note that another thing you can make with animal fat is pemmican: a stable, high-energy trail food made with fat, powdered meat, and a carbohydrate such as berries.  Since it's not something you'd make in a hot climate like Africa (where humans evolved) but rather in a cold climate (such as northern Europe), I'm suddenly wondering if it is in fact a Neanderthal or Denisovan recipe.

Today is partly sunny and hot.

I fed the birds.  I've seen a mixed flock of sparrows and house finches, plus some brown birds that might be female blackbirds.

I put out water for the birds.

EDIT 4/5/25 -- I refilled the thistle feeder.

I picked up the concrete paver that we used for fireworks last night, along with scraps of paper and cardboard left behind.

Volunteer sunflowers are blooming under the fly-through feeder.

EDIT 4/5/25 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.

EDIT 4/5/25 -- I picked a handful of blackberries in the prairie garden.

EDIT 4/5/25 -- I watered the telephone pole garden and some of the savanna seedlings.  A sunflower in the telephone pole garden is close to blooming.  :D

Volleyball was fine. Elbow coffee was fine. And now the rest of the day is mine which is VERY fine.

Dick and Jan (the new peops) were at elbow coffee this morning. They actually, officially, move in on Monday. The California king bed that they have slept on for years will not fit into their new bedroom so they are bed shopping. They said that the bad new is their bed won't fit but the good news is that Dick has now shrunken in his old age and he fits on a regular king which does fit! So win. They are a cute couple.

I got an email from Microsoft that they wanted $20 for another year of One Drive. Nope. After the password debacle, I'm over you, Microsoft. Plus, I pay for storage on my web site host so I'll just pop important stuff there. Mail is already copied so all I really need is the stuff on my Google Drive. Which is 23 4GB zip files. I was going to download them all and then upload them all but why? cheaper and easier just to plop them onto an external drive that I already have. So that's the plan.

I also figured out how to get Apple TV without fighting Apple. Somehow my Apple TV account got hosed and Apple won't let me back in. NFW am I going to call them which is my only option. BUT! Prime Video let's me subscribe through them AND they are having a sale. Win win.

Where there's a will...

My foot is far less purple and not nearly as hurty today. I did not even think about it while playing volleyball. And neither one of my feet or ankles are even remotely swollen. Nice.

There is stuff around here (Timber Ridge) that bugs me. Food stuff, services, stuff, options stuff. Having Scott and Julie around to point out all the marvelous thing here, has led me to rethink. I agree with them both that this place is lovely and impressive and comfortable and caring and a great place for me to live. But, I forget all of that when they replace french fries at lunch with fucking tater tots. Or they change the package receiving system so that I can't get my packages in a timely fashion. And then I tend to focus solely on the bits that are annoying.

I have two packages, neither of which is critical and one is a jacket I can't even wear til fall. I have a photo of the package being received so I'm fairly certain it won't get lost in the waiting. I have a lot of french fries in the freezer.

So what remains is training myself to NOT focus on the annoying bits. I think I can do that and that's today's project. I was going to do laundry but that will be tomorrow. In my fridge, for lunch I have fixin's for BLT's and two fried chicken thighs and one whole hot dog with chopped onions and potato salad. I'm not going to be hurting for meals anytime soon.

I having knitting to do and baseball to watch. And I might even watch some Wimbledon.

In 1985, I got to go to Wimbledon with my mother. My father gave her the trip for Christmas and then, at the last minute, could not go (union problems at work) and she asked me if I wanted to. ER.... yes!! We had a great time but it was, that year, the hottest Wimbledon on record. We fried our asses just sitting there moving our heads back and forth. I understand they are celebrating this 20th anniversary with even hotter weather. But, alas, without us.

I will be here in the cool, apartment remembering.

Neighbors

I ran into my upstairs neighbor Pat on her way out the door yesterday. I haven’t seen her in ages and I’ve been worried about her, because she’s elderly and has mobility problems. And I hadn’t seen her car in the parking lot, so I worried about if she was in the hospital? But this week a different car had appeared in her parking space, which is right next to mine. We had a chat while she slowly (she’s using a cane) walked out to her new-to-her car. She’d sold the new one (which was an SUV and too tall for her to climb into) to her son, and had bought a used car that was low enough that she could actually get into it. I stuck around to make sure she could adjust the seat in case she needed help. (It's that new to her, and she said this is the first time she's been out of the house in A YEAR). I remembered the last time I'd talked to her she'd said how much she hated her (previous) new car.

She invited me to drop in any time to chat, because we’re both a bit lonely. I will take her up on that, and make sure I get her phone number so that she can text me if she needs anything now that Marc (who used to help her a bit with things like carrying groceries upstairs for her) has moved out.

July 4th Holiday

Some idiot was setting off loud fireworks at midnight. The dogs took it surprisingly calmly. They were barking at something though.

Woke up at 7 AM. I stayed up late reading a book about The Big Bang Theory.

Hmm. It’s supposed to be really hot today. Not sure what to do. Sunday, it’ll be cooler but it’s going to rain.

Nap time. Gracie is barking at nothing in particular. The dog waste people are here. Bella, Gracie, and Oliver are all snoozing.

Had a nice nap and then ate lunch. Shower time. I’m getting a headache though, so maybe I need to lie down? Bella and Gracie were wrestling, so I escorted Gracie out.

My headache is gone and I want to get up, but Oliver is sleeping in the crook of my legs. Now he’s awake.

I ordered some Blue Sage and purple Coneflowers. I need to remember to pick them up on campus on Wednesday.

I started cleaning off my old laptop by copying files to a hard drive. Salt and Light refurbishes old computers and gives them to people in need, so I’ll donate this one.

Showered. I have Lily on my lap. I explained to her that it’s too early to eat, and she left.

Ugh. 92F/33C, feels like 97F/36C. No. I need to get to bed early (no reading!) and get outside early tomorrow and Sunday. Though I was going to go to the Unitarian church on Sunday. Took the dogs out and yes, it’s hot.

Got my new cool sheets on the bed, with a lot of hassle from two dogs and a cat. I lost my temper a little bit. But the duvet cover has beige stripes rather than gray ones, so I want to exchange it for one that matches the sheets. Contacted them.

My new laptop is updating. However, I accidentally bought two of them, so I'm returning the other one. I need to package it up tonight to drop at the UPS store tomorrow.

What now. I need to feed the critters and myself (done). Watered the garden.

Bella chewed up my external hard drive. I love that dog, but damn. I ordered a new one. Meanwhile, I'm recovering my files and downloading them.

I have Semagic installed on the new computer, but I'm having problems getting it to work with DW. I'm going to give up for tonight. I'm tired.

Friday - Getting Shit Done

Today was all about getting shit done around the house.

I washed two throw blankets/kitty blankets
I walked all the broken down shipping boxes out to the dumpster
I replaced two burnt out lightbulbs
I walked around the house with a trash bag and just picked up trash (this is a UFYH trick). And then I made sure that bag made its way out to the dumpster, because I didn’t want it sitting around the house.
I tried an internet hack that I saw somewhere. Of course, now I can’t find where I saw it, but whatever. I used four tension rods to create a shelf in the hallway above the doorway to the sewing room where I can put my stash of TP, paper towels, and Kleenex. I rather like it, and it helped clear some of the stuff that I’ve had stored on top of the dryer for ages.
I washed a ton of dishes. I’ve almost finished washing all the everyday dishes. Saturday I’ll wash the pots and pans and then start on the other things that have been sitting around waiting to get washed (the cat feeders and fountains, so I can finally put those away, some ceramic planters from my dead plants, a bunch of holiday cookie tins, etc.).

The nice thing about today is that it sets me up nicely for things I want to do tomorrow in the kitchen. Like clean the counters and kitchen sink (have to deal with the dirty dishes first) and cleaning the stove top (need to clean the pots and pans first).

Today is mostly sunny and hot.

I fed the birds. I've seen a mixed flock of sparrows and house finches plus a mourning dove.

I put out water for the birds.

EDIT 7/4/25 -- I checked the south lot and put topsoil in a few low spots, prior to our fireworks show tonight.

EDIT 7/4/25 -- I picked up a trough pot that fell off the old picnic table, restored the curry plant and purple basil as best I could, then watered them and a few other things in the house yard.

EDIT 7/4/25 -- I sowed 6 pots with mulberry seeds. Half are from a particularly pleasing mulberry sapling near the west end of the old fishpond, the other half from a mulberry that was left on the porch step as if a gift.

EDIT 7/4/25 -- I watered the telephone pole garden and a few seedlings in the savanna.

My partner Doug mowed the ritual meadow and prairie paths.

EDIT 7/4/25 -- I picked a handful of herbs to make a skillet scramble for supper.

EDIT 7/4/25 -- I picked a handful of blackberries in the prairie garden. There are plenty left; I ran out of heat tolerance long before I ran out of berries. :D

Cicadas are singing.

EDIT 7/4/25 -- I picked a handful of blackberries in the prairie garden. Still more left, but I'll have to hunt those another day, because it is still hot and the sun is about to set.

Ancient Greek Cooking

Just link parking this here, but it might be interesting to others too.

https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/podcast-ancient-greek-dinner-parties

Andrew: The whole book is written in Greek. So Deipnosophistae in Greek can be translated as “the philosophers at dinner” or like, “the wise people at dinner.” One scholar that I spoke with had a kind of funny translation. He translated it as “banquet wits,” and he said he likes this because it sounds a little bit like “twits.” And there is like a bit of irreverence or humor in the text itself. So, he thought that that was a funny way of translating it.

Dylan: Yeah, I mean it shows you something about the culture, that there was so much kind of fine dining and social maneuvering happening in this space that someone would go to the trouble of producing a text, which was actually quite a lot of trouble back then, to be like, here’s kind of what you need to know.

Andrew: It’s a very rambling book. The format is hard to pin down. The framing device is that it’s a bunch of people talking at a dinner party. So it’s kind of structured that as the courses of the dinner are coming out, they see a dish and it inspires them to talk about that ingredient. Like the food itself is inspiring what they’re talking about. And they’re telling stories and they’re quoting a lot from other authors. That’s what makes it such an interesting and important text is because it preserves the words of all of these earlier writers. And in some cases, you have writers whose work doesn’t survive in its entirety, but the little piece of it that’s quoted in Deipnosophistae is what we have that survives.

Dylan: It’s like super meta because it’s like in the format of a dinner party conversation, but is also like a great quotes book so that you can reference it for your future dinner. So, Deipnosophistae contains these quotes, it contains these kind of philosophical tidbits, but it also seems like it also has real recipes in here.

Andrew: Well, one of the most significant things is it contains the oldest recorded known recipe in Greek. During this time, especially the Greek cities in what is now Sicily, were known for kind of fancy haute cuisine. And so the recipe that we have in Deipnosophistae is for a grilled fish. It’s a type of fish called ribbon fish, and it’s topped with grated cheese and olive oil.

*****

Dylan: That’s amazing, because there isn’t actually patent law for recipes now. I like the idea of it being a one-year patent on a recipe because it’s kind of like, okay, you get a year to be a really hot star chef, and then everybody gets to take a crack at doing the thing. I kind of feel like that would be a good thing to bring back. So, this book’s fascinating because it’s so many things. In a way, it just reminds me of what I sometimes call a tidbits book, which collects a lot of little stories or a lot of quotes or just this and that. It reminds me of the books that people sometimes put on the back of a toilet, like the Uncle John’s Bathroom Reader kind of thing. The thing that you pick up and you sort of browse through it, it’s not really meant to be necessarily read in a go. You kind of open to some pages and go like, ah, interesting, very enlightening, and then you close it and you put it back on the back of the toilet.

July 4

Years and years and years ago, the Vietnamese War killed my patriotism. I was in college. My friends were being drafted to go over and get killed. Then, an hour from my college, the National Guard fired guns at the students at Kent State. And that was the final blow.

I could have - maybe should have - left but never even seriously considered it. I got a little hopeful when Obama was elected but, of course, that's been squashed.

So celebrating the birth of this ugly political pit is not something I gravitate to. Red White and Blue represents stupid old white guys who make ridiculous decisions.

Yes, I have enjoyed the fruits of those stupid white guy decisions and I get the irony but I still hate all patriotic holidays and the crap that goes with them. So... today will be a Friday for me.

New menu day and the last week of my meal month so I need to eat up whatever they are serving. Scott and Julie helped this month so it's not so much of a scramble.

My foot is a little better. It's no longer bruised looking from the shot so there's that. I still have another shot to go but that's not til August. I've been watching my ankles and they are weird. One day they are huge and the next they are back down to normal, lather rinse repeat. I'm now taking an embarrassing number of pills each day. 1 for cholesterol, 2 for high blood pressure, COQ 10, vitamin D, AREDS2, now an allergy pill and one for my feet. That's 8 every morning and another AREDS2 at night. AND I'm healthy! (Oh and the allergy pills are working again so whew!)

Baseball starts at 10 today. And I might do some laundry or not. My little UPS shop is closed but I have nothing to return today anyway.

Today Stroke cousin was released from rehab and sent back to her sisters' house. They said they could not handle her. There are only 2 of them and they are not strong so they can't lift her out of bed so she can make it to the bathroom. It takes 4 rehab staff to do it. It is hard to get 4 staff people together on one patient. PT says that stroke cousin is capable of getting up from bed...they worked on that in PT...but she does not want to. Oh boy. She was due to be released at 1 pm.

At 11 AM I get a call from lead sister. She is driving. They think my Aunt had a small stroke. Cancer cousin is in the ambulance with my Aunt. In the ambulance my aunt seemed fine. She was talking and could move her hands and feet. She knew all her kids names and even that the oldest son had died in January. They are keeping the aunt at the hospital and will run tests on her

Dad wanted to go over to the cousins tomorrow. I planned on making salad, potato salad and pulled pork. I told the cousins to text and tell me what is going on and if they want to be alone I will keep Dad home. No word and it is almost 11PM. I would have liked to make plans for the morning. Looks like I will garden and see what happens. The pulled pork freezes well.

Well, this was a quick walk. Bella wanted to play but Gracie didn’t, so she decided to come inside.

Turned the dryer on but forgot it was on the dewrinkle setting, so I’m going to take my shower at lunch after the clothes are dry. Napped a little.

Bella and Gracie swapped food again. Clearly the other one is getting the better food.

Napped over lunch. I had to remove Gracie because she and Bella were squabbling over the lamb toy. (Bella is more restful to sleep with.)

We were let out of work early for the holiday weekend. Popped into the shower.

My therapist wants me to ask my psychiatrist about my feeling lethargic. And she wants me to talk to my primary physician about a CPAP. (I had gotten one, but that was right when my mom died, and I couldn't deal with it.) We also talked about my going to the Unitarian Church, and she said that I just needed to ask a few questions and let people talk. We commiserated about the time of the church service though--10:30 on Sunday. My therapist said that she isn't dressed before noon, and I agreed with that statement. She also said to look for evening events held by the church.

I fell down a rabbit hole trying to find out when I created my Gmail account. I finally found the answer through trial and error.

Fed us all. Bella was trying to "forget" that she’s not supposed to eat the cats’ food. I told her that nothing had changed even though we now have Gracie.

Hmm. I’m wondering if I should get a “dog backpack” so that Bella could carry her own food when we camp.

Dozed lightly. The dogs are crashed out.

I’m thinking that I should get ready for bed and go to sleep early. I want to get outside to weed in the morning. Do I want to go to the fireworks show in Champaign tomorrow? Parking will be a bitch. No, I should stay home with the dogs and cats because they won't like the noise.

Got my ReMarkable tablet set up and planner pages loaded. I think that it will be a help.

Bella knocked into my laptop and the track ball went who-knows-where. I went into Zara's room to grab the trackball there. She seems to be feeling much better, is staying visible, and was loving me up. Good to see.

I should feed the beasts and go to sleep.

WEDNESDAY

Up at 6:30am to do laundry!
Because A) no one else is insane enough to get up that early so I got the ONE washer and dryer to myself, B) I want to put a packing cube of clothes in my trunk and today is our last day to load said trunk, and C) We leave for Chicago on Friday!!

Soon enough laundry and breakfast were done, and after sorting my clothes into take-and-not-take piles I loaded them up and took them to my trunk on the 2nd floor of the theater.

thumbnail_IMG_1223.jpg

Then down to the basement to practice. I only played for 30-40 minutes, then back upstairs to steal leftover bagels from the crew breakfast and back outside to pick up lunch from Simone's Kitchen, a Mediterranean place down the street. Chicken shwarma bowl, yum!
thumbnail_IMG_1229.jpg

Then I took a short nap, waking up when the front desk called to let me know a package had arrived. It was my cheap-o gold Amazon sandals for the opening night party. I tried them on and they ARE comfortable and DO fit, but they are quite higher and heavier than I'd thought. But wearing them means I won't have to get the pants hemmed so there's that.

A little more chilling out and then to the theater for the employees-only merch sale!!
I was there early...convenient, because they ended up opening early!
Intention was to get a collectible pin and a t-shirt, but the night before they had sent a list of all the stuff that would be available and I was also interested in a zip-front hoodie. They are leftover merch from Australia and will not be replenished once they are sold, therefore it's a limited availability item. It's pretty expensive, but the salesperson brought one for me to look at and the quality was impressive (a weird thing to say about a hoodie I guess.)

So the FOMO won out and I bought it. After getting it home and trying it on I was doubly impressed by the quality again; it's thicker than most hoodies I've owned, and all of the text on it is embroidered, not printed. That right there would explain the cost. And the zipper has an interesting claw-hook mechanism at the bottom, I think it's supposed to line up the teeth properly each time? I tried searching for it and haven't found anything like it yet. And ultimately, it's just PRETTY and I like it!

The hoodie in question:

thumbnail_IMG_1236.jpg
(I'm almost afraid to wear it tbh)

The collectible pin is just a miniature of the main graphic for the show. It's very heavy for it's size and is a real Disney collectible/trading pin, with the little Mickey head backing.

thumbnail_IMG_1245.jpg

I immediately added it to the collection that lives on my bag.
I have a pin for all of the touring shows I've been on, except Elf.

thumbnail_IMG_1248.jpg

After that, dinner and getting ready for the show and walking to the theater as usual. Here is me in my pit blacks and with my backstage ID in the hotel hallway (I was doing a DITL for Instagram which is why this photo exists.)
thumbnail_IMG_1250.jpg

The show went normally, and afterward the rest of the band wanted to take Ryu (violin) and I out for drinks since we are the only two getting laid off in Chicago. The rest of the band is Chicago-local so they are allowed to work. We each enjoyed a drink of our choice and chatted with everyone. Partway through the night we were offered "green tea shots" which funnily enough do not contain any green tea :p but are called that because of the resulting color, which is similar to that of green tea. I was a good sport for once and accepted the extra drink. Pretty tasty!

For the rest of the night I mostly geeked out with the ladies over anime (turns out we ALL watch it), helped our drummer try to book a hotel in Chicago because somehow he'd forgotten to take the buyout, and commiserated with Ryu about having to go a month unpaid. It was actually the best time I've had in a large group social setting in a long while :)

Finally at midnight we called it quits and went to bed. After all, tomorrow was our final matinee in Schenectady!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

THURSDAY

I slept poorly (common for me after drinking) but was up at 8 for breakfast, typing this blog up, and a little packing.

My new instrument insurance policy went through, so now I feel a bit better about all of those upcoming flights. Not great, but better.

Very soon it was time for the 1:30pm matinee. It was well attended and a good audience. I thought we played pretty well. Before we knew it it was time to pack up and say goodbye to Schenectady! Wow...it feels both like we've been here forever, but also like we just got here. I am happy to leave, but also sad to be laid off for the entire month of July (the Chicago run.)

It took me a long time to pack up, but that's not really surprising with such a small pit and twice the equipment I'm used to touring with. I got the tenor, mutes, and stands put away and took the bass with me to the hotel where I packed it carefully for flying. Packed some more stuff in my suitcase and was surprised to find it was overweight. I should have had the new shoes sent to Chicago...and perhaps should not have bought so much clothing this week! I had to choose some items to leave behind, but nothing important...I went with some heavier sweatpants, a roll of cling wrap (which is amazingly heavy), and some spice blend jars that had been gifted to me in the first place. That fixed it.

Rehearsals are over. This tour has officially begun.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Friday:
Flying to Chicago, probably just going to get groceries and crash at the hotel assuming everything goes smoothly.

Saturday & Sunday:
Lying low to save money. Practicing bass trombone (assuming it arrives intact.) Possibly visiting O'Malley Brass Instruments, but since it's a holiday weekend that may wait until Monday.

Now that it’s summer I’ve found that I have more energy to Get Shit Done. (I’m apparently solar powered) So I’ve been slowly picking away at getting Frogholm cleaned up. It helps that I’ve had more time off recently. I had Thursday June 19th off for Juneteenth (new Federal holiday) and then the following Monday, June 23, as one of our five company shutdown days. And this week is another four day week for Independence Day. The really nice thing about three day weekends is that even if I spent a whole day doing nothing, I’ve still got two more days off to attempt some housework. Lately I’ve been pretty good at keeping up with the dishes and laundry, (and reading Dreamwidth) which means I’ve had enough time to start tackling some of the many, many things on my lengthy To Do list around the house.

For example, I’ve got two broken towel rods in the bathroom. One pulled out of the wall, so it needs to be spackled before I can reinstall, and the other I grabbed onto when I slipped in the shower last summer (so I managed to break that one). They’re cheap wooden ones, the cheapest ones you can buy at Walmart, as I discovered when I started looking at Home Despot and Lowes websites, because I knew I’d seen them somewhere. Anywhoo, the Good News part is that when I found them on the Walmart website, it said something about “Fulfillment through [Other Company]. And since I’d rather not spend money at WallyWorld, I went to the Other Company website. Where they were the daily special and ONE THIRD of the price! Go me! Once those arrive, I’ll spend a day on bathroom refurbishment (replace towel rods, wash the shower curtain and replace the liner, new toilet seat, etc.)

This weekend I’m hoping to spend some time sorting through some of my many boxes of papers. I’d just toss them, but I know they need to be sorted first, and in some cases things really should be shredded. So I’ll work on that this weekend. And try to shelve some more books and maybe cull some of the herd to donate. My other project goal this weekend is to buy some houseplants. So that I’m not the only living thing in this apartment.

After work tonight I drove to the Post Office and mailed the bills. Then I hit up Target, and Staples for supplies for a couple of other things I want to get done this weekend. And then went to Wegmans to grocery shop, because I didn’t go last Friday and I was out of milk and down to my last yogurt. But that means I don’t have any excuses to leave the house Friday. So I can get cracking on the housework.

It feels so good to be moving forward again after treading water for way too long.
