Our last weekend in Delaware

Friday after work we set off for the last of our three weekends in Delaware.
As was true of the other weeks, Friday evening is not good time to get past New York city.





There were a LOT of people trying to find a way around traffic so the GPS system was overloaded. It would say there was a good route, but the specifics were not really useful.


But, we did get past NYC, over the river and down to Delaware.


We had one of our new recruits join us for this job. She drove down with the others and we all met at the hotel.


Then, off to the faire site.


This week we shared the stage with the other fight group and a bird show.





At one show, the hawk took a great interest in one of the audience members with a turkey leg.


It took a while for the hawk to let go and be sent back to its perch.


As we knew it was going to be dark at the end of our last show, we brought "special weapons" to finish that show.



Once fully dark we broke out all of my light sabers and our friend Dom, who does competitive lightsaber combat, brought his and we had some fun.













It gets dark early these days, so even after we were all tired out, we had time to drive off to where we were staying and have dinner.




Sunday was cold. Under freezing when we set out, but still pretty.


We stopped for breakfast and then headed through the swamp to the faire.





Different people dealt with the cold in different ways.






Because we packed up Sunday night, we went home Monday.
It was nice to drive in the sunlight…
