The supermarket had another sale on soda.

At the start of the week the weather was quite nice and I ate lunch outdoors.

One of my alternate routes home if traffic is bad takes me through a horse farm on top of a hill. I love the view there.

Later in the week the weather was not as nice.

This note showed up in the mens room at work. I really am not sure what it means.

I think it means use up all the towels before changing rolls. But, I’m not sure who it was for or from.

It is finally more green at home.

Thursday we went to a talk at the Worcester Art Museum.

The person who ran the historical sword guild that got us into historical sword fighting 16 years ago has moved to the Worcester Art Museum and was giving a talk on the book that was my first introduction to it.

They have also acquired a 400 year old practice long sword.

Only three originals in the USA, and this is one of them. Only about 2 dozen in the whole world left.
It is very nice.

Mark and Kendra did demos of longsword, dusack and dagger. They are the same demos we used to do at the Higgins museum 12 years ago.

Afterwards they had a reception. Some of the other folks there were people we knew at the museum a dozen years ago. We don’t seem them often these days. (Except on facebook. That doesn’t count.)

They did have some nice live music.

I asked a few questions about my favorite sword as it now hangs in the museum and featured in the slide show.

Although it is the only one of its kind I’ve ever seen, I’m told they are not that rare…

Of course, I spent most of my time reading while listening to the music.

(That photo is big because my wife, who took it, says she likes it a lot.)

As it is only a month until the longest day of the year, it was still a bit light when we came out of the museum.
