Sunday off

Because we did the show yesterday, we did not have a sword practice today.

We got a new laser.

We mostly use it to check for dust and pollen in the bed room, but it makes fun shapes too.

I tried to make breakfast this morning, but again had the problem where I used the wrong measuring cup and put in twice as much water as required.

I hate when I make that mistake. My only excuse is I was still very tired after yesterday.
It doesn’t make for good waffles.

Then we went over to [livejournal.com profile] yebo & [livejournal.com profile] zosh’s house to dry out our tent from yesterday.
OK, technically we snuck into their yard to do it because [livejournal.com profile] zosh was in the hospital, but they said it was OK.

Out in front of the house were signs that the glaciers this winter left behind many things.

My wife and [livejournal.com profile] ravena_kade went off to a ceramics show and I did a bunch of video editing for my day job.

Then, we met up to fold the now dry tent.

After we dropped [livejournal.com profile] ravena_kade at the train station we went off to the supermarket and got dinner.

In the evening I watched some TV and worked on the Lego cargo ship./

I just finished the first instruction book and now have to do the second.
It’s been a tough one, but it is expert level.

Nice job with the boat and I hope the hospital stay for your friend was nothing serious.

Did the waffles taste good at least?

I only made 2 because they stuck in the iron and wouldn't come out.
Those two were OK. But over all, not good.

I'm very excited to see your LEgo progress

It is going slower than I hoped. The front of the ship is made up of a lot of fairly small pieces that really don't get locked toether until the end. So, it kept falling apart on me.
When I finally got the top of it on it was much better. But, I think I assembled it 6 times before that...

I used to love doing those lego kits with my son! He was so meticulous about it. Alas, he's 15 now and onto video games.
