We started today by reviewing fire safety.

Then, we lit things up.

People were setting themselves on fire.

And, eating it.

Then, we moved to the bigger “toys”.

I don’t do much for this. My job is to be blanket man ready to put people out if they catch on fire.

But, I will play with the fire swords.

They’re fun.

But, they don’t stay lit for long.

Sword fighting was also done.

Not a lot of folks today. But, it was quite hot.
But, it is good to stay in practice.

Fire swords? Holy crap - that looks dangerous - no wonder you really need to practice. I'd be terrified!

Not very many of us use them. And, there is a lot of practice involved.
But, there is trust needed...

Blanket man is one of the most important people to have around when playing with fire

Yeah. But, I'm still not willing to do the touches or eating. So, I hold the blanket to be useful.

Having been one who lights up. I was always very glad you were there, blanket in hand. I know I'd be safe.

I'd love to be able to do stuff with fire, but I'm far too uncoordinated :P it must take a lot of concentration not to injure yourself!

While I'm not saying that concentration or coordination hurt, having good trainers and safety people are what you really should have.
