Mystic Realms day 1
We got in last night after midnight. We had been told "be on the faire site by 9AM."
Then, at 7:30 this morning, we got an email saying "Oh, I meant be there by 8AM."
This led to come confusion in costuming for my wife...
As I opened our door to tell the other room, they were walking out to get breakfast. So, it worked out well and we all walked over and got there in time.
The hotel is literally next to the faire site and all you do is cross the bridge from the parking lot and you're there.
Even though we had 30 minutes warning and the other folks had 2 weeks, we were the first ones there by a fair margin.
Once rehearsal we went and set up our tent.
For a while my wife hid in the tent and wouldn't come out. But we did eventually lure her out.
One thing I don't remember from years past was roving chickens at the faire.
We did our shows. They all went well.
I'm not saying it was all work, it wasn't.
blue_micha was adding eyes to everything. One pair resulted in her saying "my eyes are down there!" to people.
Our friends are in the fight group there and we had fun watching their show as well.
When the show was over, we walked the short distance to the hotel before getting ready to go to dinner.
We went off to the place we always go to when in this part of the country.
Even though it was pointed out it is in a part of town that looks like "The Walking Dead" set....
But we had a good time. Now, time for rest. Yes, 9:15, but we haven't had a lot of sleep, and need to drive home tomorrow.
