Signs and portents

I had a weird surprise when checking some of my -100F test samples.

I don’t know if you can see them, but there are spider webs on the bottom shelf.

I don’t think there were any spiders spinning webs at -80C, but who can say for sure?

Sadly, for the spider, I think what happened was when we defrosted them a spider thought it would be a good place to put a web. Then, when the freezer turned back on...
Poor little freeze dried spider...

It was pouring rain when I got to work today. So, I was surprised to see the engineering tech and receptionist staring out the front window towards me as I came in.
The storm was bad enough I was afraid a tree was falling on my car or a funnel cloud was descending.
Instead it was this really little frog climbing the window trying to get back out.

They seemed happy to watch him climb around on glass, but I felt bad for him. So, I emptied my Pringles can, encouraged him to hop into it and took him out to the garden.
I’m not sure if the salt and vinegar was good for him, but I expect the rain washed it off.

In honor of little creatures, we finally broke out the mini cupcake maker.

It is surprising how many little cupcakes you can get out of one box of cake mix. But, they are little.

No...Nononono. :P

Glad you were able to save the frog. I don't much sympathize for the Spider, though, I don't like 'em.

Aha !!

Those ARE tiny muffins - but I certainly see where they could be mass-produced (and mass-consumed) ! They are about the size of those hush-puppies we ate @ dinner the other night.

Download Raymond Scott's "Powerhouse" for your media player next time you are using it! ;-)

I've already got Powerhouse. I was playing it when making them.
