Sunday

It was a hot humid day, so my wife and I spend most of it indoors watching the Olympics.

I did go out to get Chinese food and visit the turtle.

As evening arrived, I decided to go down to the lake for a Pokehunt before the storms got here.

Clearly no storm worries behind me.

I decided to use a Pokeincense I had while walking to the other side and back on the light up bridge between Shrewsbury and Worcester.

I walked across the old one plenty of times. But, this was my first time across the new one.

They have little rest areas across the bridge with places to sit and information about the area.

They even have a little map saying what information is on which areas.

Interesting stuff.

I miss Spags.

It’s a nice walk across the lake.

These boats seemed to be having a good time.

The old bridge had stairs down to this island. It used to be covered with beer bottles and other signs of folks doing stuff maybe they shouldn’t.
I guess that’s why the stairs were not included in the new bridge.

By the time I reached the other side the lights were on.

And, the clouds were thicker.

But, still clear where I had started.

Nice views going back too.

Folks were having fun on the lake, even as the storm approached.

I am glad they replaced the state mental hospital tower.

I got home before the storm. But, it did get here. And, was short but intense.

Wow that bridge is it's own museum. How lovely!

That looks like a pleasant walk across the bridge. I'm glad you got home before the storm hit.

I love that they put up these signs on the new bridge - what a great idea!
