Adventures on a Saturday

My wife and I didn’t have anything on the schedule today, so we mostly hung around playing computer games and relaxing.

For lunch we went into Worcester to go to the Boston Market restaurant. They used to be Boston Chicken, but then got bought by McDonalds. I guess they then sold them to the people at the Scooter Store who run them now.
It’s the first time in many years we’ve tried them, and I was not impressed.
We got in line, I gave my order. Halfway through the woman taking it turned around and walked away. The three people in line behind us got their food while this woman was apparently looking for a pen to write down what I said. (You know, turkey sandwich, not cheese with a side of corn is very hard to remember.)
Then, both my sandwich and my wife’s were made wrong anyhow.

When we went to the grocery store the person bagging seemed far more interested in when their break would begin than actually helping bag our food. So, they didn’t put our eggs into the cart when done. I noticed this when I brushed them on the counter and knocked them off, breaking at least one egg. My wife and I agreed it was better to have a broken egg than try and argue with them.

Finally, after almost 3 months, I returned to the comic book store where I flushed my sunglasses down the toilet.
The manager did tell me that they had called a plumber to get them out of the drain line.
Sad.
But, he said that since I had warned them, they weren’t very far into the pipe and the repairs were fast and not expensive. He did not charge me for them, and again told me he appreciated being told as if they had sat there for a long time it could have required the whole building to have the drains fixed.
I still feel bad about it.
I kept my replacement sunglasses in my pocket and did not use their bathroom at all.
