Museum adventures
My wife wanted to see an exhibit at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. So, we set off this morning to beat the crowds.
On the way out we did notice an industrious spider that had done a web in the parking lot almost as big as a car.

Construction made us loop around a few times, but we got there and parked in the outside lot.

We parked right by the outdoor garden, and decided to go in and look around.

One of the rules of the garden I thought was very interesting.

There are folks in the sword troupe who should be given this rule...
Anyhow, it is a nice garden.

Despite all of the rules there were footprints in the pebbles. We weren’t sure what left them.

It was also very noisy as there were two hawks in the trees calling back and forth to each other quite a bit.

Then into the museum.

The thing my wife wanted to see what well advertised.

The museum has an interesting way of displaying it’s rules.

The traveling paintings looked nice.

They had an interesting painting by van Gogh. I’m pretty sure there is a Krafayis hiding in there somewhere.

I particularly liked this one.

I’m not totally sure why I liked it so much. But, I do. I like the expression on the woman’s face. I’d say it reminds me of something, but that would mean I knew what. I guess it just resonates with me.
But, the expression could be because the painting across the corner from it is mooning them.

What was the special exhibit gallery is now the modern art gallery. Interesting stuff.

My wife and I agreed this one wasn’t complete as it is an outfit intended to be worn and danced with and it was just standing there.

They should have a little video of it or something?
Statues looming over you are fun.

I’m not sure beads hanging from the ceiling is art, but it does look interesting.

But, the ripples it makes when people go through are cool.

Some, I’m not sure I understand. Even with the description.

But, there are always benches. Yay!

Then, on to another special exhibit.

I skipped most of the cats and dogs in favor of the bugs.

I did spend some time sitting in this room as it is nice, dark, quiet and cool.

They also have a dragon, but it doesn’t glow. But, I didn’t hit it with a laser either.

I thought the title of this special exhibit was very funny.

There was a lot of black, but not all.

My wife really liked it, but did not have to fight a crowd.

Then, we went to the inside courtyard.

I have no idea how many dozens of times I’ve been to the MFA, but I can count the times I’ve been through the courtyard on one hand with several extra fingers.
It’s nice, but a bit hot and humid this time of year.

So, we went and ate lunch at the cafeteria facing the courtyard.

I was happy to see they serve the correct kind of ketchup.

Inside the courtyard, away from the hawks on the outer gardens there are lots of small birds.

Then, back towards home.

We decided to have paninis for dinner, so stopped at Price Chopper because we like the bread they make.

Then there was the deli problem.

The number counter on the deli side couldn’t advance because of a broken battery. A bunch of angry people were on the customer side saying there was no way to tell who was first.
“We all have numbers,” I pointed out to an irate man next to me. “All we have to do is compare and go in order.”
I am glad a riot didn’t start because people can’t put numbers in order.
