fbhjr | Giant spiders at fire practice!

As with last week

blue_micha’s parents let us used their yard for our fire practice this week. We got there quite a bit early. As we waited there, my wife spotted a spider that had literally sent a web thread across half the yard.
For a New England spider it was pretty big.

Although a web across half the yard was pretty good, we also marveled at the progress her father had made on the garage over the week. Last week it was a steel shell.

This week he had built the whole front, which he finished the structure as we watched.

Given that he did it all himself and is in his 60’s we were very impressed.
But, the others got there and we started fight practice.

It apparently impressed the insect population as a couple of bees started fighting as well. It was suggested maybe they weren’t fighting, but doing something else. But, I’m pretty sure they were fighting even if other thoughts came to other people.

blue_micha has a new chair that can disassemble and go in a bag, but it made of wood. Right now we’re not sure if it will hold up anyone but her, but it might be a design we could look at expanding in the future.

Last week I took pictures of us practicing with fire. But, we also do runs without fire to get the choreography down. It might not look as impressive, but it’s just as needed.
