Comics, comics everywhere

Today was a day of more comic sorting.

Yesterday’s fit into a box nicely.

Todays made for a second box. I’m not sure if there will be a third. There are other comics in there. Some are already sorted, some aren’t. I’m not sure I want to break open boxes I sorted more than 10 years ago...

I’ve found all sorts of other stuff while digging through the comics.

I discovered I can still solve a rubic’s cube, even if it takes me a lot longer then it used to.

(I know, 10 minutes isn’t bad, but I used to be able to do them in under 2.)

It’s been a huge fat nothing on the job front. Folks are getting ready for summer vacations and not scheduling interviews because so many folks will be out of the office over the next month or so.
It doesn’t stop me from applying. Hopefully something will still pan out.

If you do have to break down and sell your comics

I hope that you get a good price for them. I suppose that in this economy, the price of collectible comics has probably dropped too, bu I don't really know how volatile that market is - or if it is indexed at all to the commodity price of oil, uranium, or kryptonite.

You can still solve the rubic cube faster than I ever could..

While it would be nice if I got some money out of it, it is more to get them out of the house.
I don't keep them bagged and protected. They were just piled in a closet. So, some of them are pretty damaged. (I threw away more then I kept, but most magazines that are way out of date.)

When they first came out, I spent a fair bit of time discovering how to solve the cube. After I had managed it on my own, I was shown some short cuts that make it much quicker. I used to know some people who could do it in under a minute. They practiced a lot...

How much do you want for them, and what books were you collecting?

There is a lot of Hellblazer, Ninja Highschool, The Dreaming, several different Tim Hunter character books (Books of Magic, Books of Faire, etc.)
Some Grendel.

I have no idea what they're worth. Could be $1, could be more.
