No lake monsters today

I didn’t hear back from the headhunter I drove off to see yesterday, despite him being sure he’d have an interview set up for me today.
The good news is I did get a phone interview with the company across the street from where [livejournal.com profile] perrin_o_ravnos works. I only got to talk to a personnel person, not the engineering folks. It’s harder to judge how I do in those cases. Usually those people have been given a checklist of things to look for and don’t know the technical details. So, it doesn’t matter how close I think my experience is if it isn’t on the list.
But, hopefully it was enough to get to the next stage. It is certainly the farthest I’ve gotten so far.

I did drive off to my wife’s office and meet her for lunch. She has a very nice office and it was a nice lunch.

I’ve reached a stall point with the office. I’ve thrown out over a dozen bags of stuff. But, most of what is left is stuff I want to keep. So, I have to figure out where to put it. Until I do that, it’s hard to finish it up.

I also spent a lot of time working on one of my other projects. I want to make a video resume to sent out to people. I’ve been waiting for the hair cut to start it. So, today I started it. I spent a lot of time capturing images of equipment I’ve designed in the last 20 years. We’ll see how that goes...

Maybe I can get back to chasing lake monsters tomorrow before game night.

All the best in your job search.

Don't get discouraged, even when headhunters blow you off.

I'm excited to hear about the video resume, I'd like to see it. I think it's a really neat idea.

Do you still have pics of the products at NED?

I think that I have some brochures around here somewhere, if you wanted pics of the package for the 9600/Post-Pro and 3200 and keyboard.
