I will not be thwarted!

For [livejournal.com profile] medievaloracle’s “virtual Saint Patrick’s day party” I wanted to scan some pictures of Ireland from the two trips my wife and I took there in 96 and 00. But, my scanner decided it was a day of rest and refused to turn on.
But, once upon a time, my wife had a web site of our travels abroad. That website crashed, burned and was fed to a polar bear, but the back up of it survived. So, with some quick networking, a flash drive and three tries at getting a decade old jpegs to process, here are some photos from our time in Ireland last century. (Yes, 2000 was still the 20th...)

I should point out:
1) These trips with my wife were very nice, a lot of fun, and I miss having done something like this with her for so long.
2) My wife did all the hard work of scanning, cropping, adjusting and making the photos look nice.
3) My wife is very good at data backup or I'd be sitting here with nothing to post.
4) Yay my wife!
5) There were many more. I only did 17 since St. Patrick's is the 17th..
