Most of two weeks in photos

After the New Hampshire faire, my wife had Monday off. We went to see The Thunderbolts*, but it was made harder by moving vans.

I have been doing Zoom interviews.

I did play with my van de graf generator some.

I watched a lot of a 24/7 loop of a song from Doctor Who.

A lot of stuff has been in the air, so I’ve been glad to be home with my air filter.

Despite Google telling me driving to Philidelpha was faster going 75 miles out of the way to Albany rather than drive through Connecticut, I tried it anyhow. Took 8 hours…

There were some strange trucks.

Lot of cars, even if not bad views.

We stopped at a very chicken based McDonalds, but there was a nice dog there who’s owner was begging for chicken nuggets.

We cut through some pretty parts of New Jersey. But, we got there.

This year the hotel was much more expensive, but there were toilet seats and towels.

We set up early Saturday morning.

The photos from the show for Saturday and Sunday are here:

It was nice to be out on "this island", even if it is the only part of the fort not on an island, but you did get there from the main fort across a bridge.

It was pretty out there.

There was a tick warning and my wife did find one in her clothes.

The good news for Saturday our Godkids and their family came to see us.

After the show our godfamily went home and we went off to the only restaurant near there.

Sunday we got there early so we’d find parking. The birds liked the bugs that followed us.

Sunday back to the restaurant near there.

Monday, our ship had come in.

We were very happy friends from the Historical African Martial Arts Association came and joined us.

They did the first two shows with us and did an excellent show as always.

At the end of the day, turtles watched us pack up.

The drive home was much better, less than 5 hours total.

i had forgotten to pack a razor and was far fuzzier than normal by Monday night.

Tuesday after dodging trash trucks I went to have dinner with former coworkers.

Wednesday going into the city the traffic was very bad.

How slow? This guy in the pickup truck got out, went over to a tree to relieve himself, came back and got in, and did not miss any movement of traffic.

I went over to the hospital and snuck in to see my mother.

The interview I had was not far from downtown Boston.

I drove back home and it was only half of the drive in, but still only averaged 30 miles per hour on a 65 limit road.
