Week, more or less, in photos
It’s pollen season here. There is a LOT of it in the air.

The good news is that the stuff I’m most allergic to hits earlier. This stuff bothers me, but not as much as the maple trees. And, they’re done by now.
And, I’m very happy about the leaves. When I was younger I didn’t really appreciate them as I do now. These days I miss them a lot when they’re gone and am very happy to see them come back.

The bunnies in the apartment complex are very happy with the spring.

One weird thing about the company I worked for going out of business so quickly is the social media is still fairly present. Granted, no new posts in two weeks, but there’s still enough that pops up in my browsing that I always get surprised.

One of my friends, the one who hosts the monthly game night, has been in the hospital fighting an infection. I gave his wife a lift over to visit him Thursday. He didn’t get home Friday morning as he hoped, but did manage it for the weekend.

I hate that hospital.
It’s where my wife’s ectopic pregnancy ended along with our chance of children.
It’s where my mother in law suddenly died.
It’s where my wife’s uncle and aunt spent many visits before her uncle finally passed.
It’s very pretty.

But, I associate it with death and was happy my friend was no longer staying there.
This weekend was the second weekend of the New Hampshire Ren Faire.

A red wing blackbird taunted my wife all weekend. She kept trying to get photos of it, but it kept flying off just before she could. It even seemed to get stand in birds to taunt her.

She did get a few shots of it, but not many.

Saturday was again damp, but not as bad as the week before.

Magic Mike wanted to tell his Pensacola story, so once a day I gave him a set up to tell it. He seems to enjoy it.

We did get a lot of interest in our stuff between shows.

And, we had two father and son teams performing.

I will admit, now more than two weeks after my company closed, I’m not in an overly good mood.

But, there are still things I find amusing or happy.

I do like that my wife got some photos of my showing the historical books to folks. There are lots and lots of folks who do sword fights, and even historically inspired sword fights, but I don’t know too many others that have the books and can point out the sections to people.

The end of the day wound down fairly slowly with the crowds all going up front for the final shows. This left the ground fairly empty, but still scenic.

The show getting over at 5 means we could get everything packed up, in the car and be on the road well before the sun went down. That’s a nice change from some shows.

On a completely different note, finding ring lights in the toy section of the pharmacy made me feel old.

I’ve been making my own movies since 4th grade, but still never had a ring light from a toy section…
