Photos of the week and practice
I know I normally separate the week’s photos and practice, but this time of year there really isn’t enough for each, so I combine them.
At work we had 10 hours of OSHA safety training. The guy teaching it sounded like the guy in the Simpson’s cartoon who is the perpetual thief. And, he spoke with a gap between each syllable. It was a bit surreal.

Wednesday evening I went off to visit my former coworkers for dinner. On the way I passed a sign I wasn’t sure was about the impending 250th anniversary of the American Revolution starting, or current politics.

Dinner was nice enough.

I was interested to see they were playing the original Planet of the Apes movie in the background.

One of my, much younger, former coworkers asked why I kept looking up at it.
"I remember I wanted to see it when it came out, but my sister wouldn’t take me," I said. "I was quite mad about that."
"But, this came out 50 years ago…"
"57 actually."
"You’re not that old."
"I’m 61."
"You wanted to see this movie when you were 4?"
"I saw the movie posters when I went to see 2001 A Space Odyssey, and it looked cool. I liked Star Trek a lot and thought I’d like this."
Then it turned into a conversation about how they had never seen any incarnation of Star Trek.
Kids these days…
I’m not sure about the supermarket selling stuffed Jesus dolls during lent. Or, an other time of the year really.

I haven’t seen such clear lenticular clouds since Antarctica. Guess it was wind here in Massachusetts this week.

I spent a lot of time this week working on our vacation plan for July.

This morning my wife and I went to Ihop for breakfast. I was surprised some people bring Tupperware with them.

There weren’t many folks at practice today. But, we worked on the normal stuff.

On the way home we noticed there was a new "Orson the Polar Bear" on the roof of the Polar Soda building.

We stopped at the whole foods near us for dinner stuff. I had to use the bathroom, which means going up to the second floor.
