I don’t like Star Trek Picard

In all honesty, I haven’t liked any of the seasons much. But, this third season of Picard I just think is terrible.

The effects are good. And, the basic story line has the potential to be OK. (It isn’t finished yet, so it’s hard to be sure.)
But, the way it is written and presented is just awful.

It all this false melodrama stuff.
The ship gets hit by torpedoes and one says to the other “Get off the bridge! You’ve killed us all!”
Shocking for folks who’ve worked together 40 years and gotten out of much worse scrapes than that. And, 5 minutes in of the next episode it’s all forgiven.
I guess they were all wound up about losing someone years ago. If only Starfleet had counselors they might have been able to help…

The AI is taking over the ship! All the force fields are coming down! The bad guys are going to get us all.
Literally in the opening of the next episode one says “that’s enough of that” and pulls out the cable connecting it to the ship.
Why 20 minutes of agonizing over it in the previous episode if it was just “unplug that cable”? And, the one who did it is the one who plugged in the cable in the first place, so it’s not like they didn’t know it was there…

To me the whole season is like this clip, but not for laughs:

I know, I don’t HAVE to like Star Trek.
I’ve watched it for a long time and this isn’t the first time I gave up on one of the shows.
(Voyager. I watched the first two seasons and just couldn’t go on. And, the third season of Enterprise, but I came back for the 4th.)

I am sad about it.
I want it to be good.
But, I find it just too badly written.
