In the town of Salem

There had been a very small amount of snow over night.

We went into scenic Worcester to get some breakfast and I could get my hair cut.

Once there was a church on this corner. I thought it looked nicer.

After my haircut we drove off to Salem. Famous for things other than the museum we were going to.

There may be a witch house, but we parked in a regular parking garage.

Then off to the museum: https://www.pem.org

We started with the exhibit that is closing tomorrow.

One of the things I like about this museum is they give credit to everyone who makes up their exhibits.

I like that this guy only started painting when he was 70. Gives me hope.

I thought this one was nice.

Many of the paintings were of places I’ve been.

I walked along the Bund in Shanghai when I was there. But, it’s been 15 years now.

I’ve climbed on these rocks.

These rocks are near where I learned to scuba dive.

And, they had nice chairs.

I liked this exhibit, even if it was targeted at children.

Especially as they had books you can read.

Interesting things.

Even little benches.

I’m not sure about what they did to the maritime hall. All these images on the ceiling and walls moved.

This was their other special exhibit.

I found it very interesting.

This one is of a battle that happened near where my family used to live.

They did have things other than paintings too.

These ones were very interesting as they changed as the light hit them.

There was one odd thing about it.

I got out of the exhibit before my wife and played with the air jets some.

She found me quick enough.

My wife likes colored glass, so it’s a good place for that.

Then, past the giant Fidel and off to the new wing.

Interesting exhibit there too.

I like the other way of looking at things.

The exhibit was very clear that most of the things in it were obtained by selling illegal drugs in China 150 or so years ago and brought back to the US.

Of course, I liked the chairs and benches.

I really liked these ones between exhibits.

The next exhibit was on design.

My wife really liked this light.

Then, one on how you see things.

Then, off through Salem to look for lunch.

Glad we weren’t looking at this place.

Then, past the blue box towards home.

We did stop at a supermarket with very fancy water faucets.

But, they had lots of my favorite sushi…
