Week in photos
There have been experiments at cutting foam with laser to make better foam. The results have been mixed.

My commute is no longer in total darkness.

It’s still pretty dark when I arrive home.

There has been a lot of discussion this week on how different we need different types of tube racks to be in color for the customer to tell them apart.

My supplier in China kept trying different mixes and I have to approve the look at about 1AM when they had them ready in China.
I finally approved this one.

Our freezer maker continues to have quality issues. I’m not sure how secure they are.

The CEO came to visit us again this week. He seemed happy, so my boss was happy.

Yesterday was cold.

We went off on cake quest to the other town with a good bakery section.

The market was very chaotic with the approaching storm, but there were plenty of cakes to choose from. Even my wife’s favorite cookies. (I guess people only buy milk and bread for storms…)
Then we took the scenic road home.

I had burned out a headlight on my car. So, I left it off to check the electrical system as I thought it had happened before. But, I guess I imagined that. (Looking through the records the garage owner told me how much we had spent in his garage. It is about the amount I made a year after being an engineer for 10 years and being in charge of a division…)
Anyhow, I walked to the garage.

Because of the impending storm, everyone took great care in parking.

I don’t know who does the math at Weather Underground, but 20mm is not equal to 5-8 inches. 5" is about 250mm…

Before sundown the snow began.

There was a fair bit by nightfall.

Sometime over the night it switched to freezing rain, so the amount on the ground wasn’t super huge by morning.

Freezing rain (pink on the radar) is not good for driving, so we cancelled sword practice for today.

I went to check the cars about noon. The freezing rain was still coming down, so I shoveled out the snow, but left it on top of the cars as a barrier to the ice.

My tracking handbook says a human with a snow shovel went this way.
