Week in photos
This is the time of year where the dumpster is never empty.

And, everything is making it hard for me to breathe.

I work in the pause building.
I guess it is building 11, but that’s not what it looks like to me.

Wednesday our Goddaughter was graduating from high school. I couldn’t get a whole day off. But, I was able to get Wednesday afternoon off.
So, my wife picked me up at lunch and we headed to Manchester NH to fly out.

The timing was going to be very tight. We were only going to have 1 hour to go a distance that takes 45 minutes if traffic is OK. And, it is almost never OK in Baltimore.
When we got to the airport, our flight was delayed. That meant there was zero chance we’d make it in time.
But, the flight ahead of us was delayed and just about the board.
"Can we get on that one and not miss that graduation?" I asked.

We got an extra 2 hours in our schedule because of the nice folks at Southwest airlines.
The man across the aisle from us was a retired Southwest pilot and had worked with a bunch of the flight attendants before. So, we heard a lot of talk about flight routes and current working conditions.

Off we went from New Hampshire and down to Maryland.

We circled around back over Manchester.

Then down along the coast.

Past where my wife and I got married almost a quarter century ago.

Over Salem. Yeah, still don’t like it.

Over Boston where we turned West.

I grew up somewhere under the cloud in the lower right.

Somewhere under there is where we live now.

Eventually, we got to Baltimore.

There were all sorts of new Pokestops there.

On the rental car shuttle we sat in the section between the two halves. This was interesting when taking sharp turns.

The parking diagram we were sent made it look much easier than it was.

But, we found who we were looking for without too much trouble.

She was glad to see us.

No, really, she was…
We let the woman with two doctorates line up the photos.

And, it worked. (No surprise there…)

With us in the shot, and our friend Al taking the photo.

I’m not sure what she plans for her brother…

There was much waiting in line.

But, we got in and got good seats.

They projected everyone on the jumbotron.

They graduating people came in from a direction we couldn’t really see their faces, so we weren’t sure where Gabriele was seated.

I took video of her getting the diploma, so this is her just after getting it.

Once I saw where she went back to, it was easy to find her again. Coincidentally, she was sitting right behind someone with a sign from where her dad and I went to engineering school together.

Afterwards, they shooed us all out into the rain. But, it was light rain and we were happy to catch up with the new graduate.

And, her friend.

Gathering everyone else took a lot of work. I should have had the doctor do it.

It was fairly dark too.

But, eventually we all found each other.

And, we headed to the cars.

The kids opted to ride with us. It was nice to get some time to visit with them.

It turned out to be a lot of time as it took us about an hour to get out of the parking lot.

We went back to their place and had a late dinner, then headed to the hotel.
We got up at 3:30 and headed to the airport for an early flight home.

The Pokemon and stops were still there.

We had a modern plane going back.

Very few folks returned with us.

Maybe because it was cloudy?

We flew over one of the few mountains I have climbed multiple times.

Then, past the other mountains and back to Manchester.

Where the morning rush hour waited for us.

Coming home on the way I take if traffic is bad, I saw the dinosaur is now wearing a pith helmet.

I visited Michael the turtle and got us Chinese food.
