Wales trip with photos, part 5a
The drive north had gone longer than I had expected, so we got in to Llandudno about 10 at night instead of the 7:30 or so I had planned.
When we got there we parked on the street as I couldn’t find the parking area. When I asked they said "you’re fine, they won’t ticket you until after 10AM…"
So, we kept the car there.

One of the reasons we picked the Imperial Hotel in Llandudno was my wife had asked to stay by the beach at least one night on our trip.
We got up before dawn and crossed the street to the beach.
It had a great view.

It is right on the water.

And, literally just across the street.

Looks like they have a lot going on in town in the winter.

It was windy and right on the edge of rain. Sometimes it rained, some times it misted, some times it was dry. But, always windy.
Still we walked along the beach.

And, as I said, a great view of the sunrise.

Because of the wind, the clouds kept changing so the nature of the sunrise kept changing too. And, like Stonehenge the day before, it depended a lot on if I set the camera light level for the ground or the sky.

As we walked along the beach, we realized we were being followed. One of the gulls was picking up rocks and dropping them in our direction.

My wife said before we took to the sand it had been dropping shellfish to open them.

But, it aimed for us. So, we moved on.
And, once the sun was up a bit more it didn’t look as colorful out there anyhow.

But, it was still windy.

As the rain picked up again we went back to the hotel for breakfast before setting off for the rest of the day.
