At the peak!

My car has reached its peak mileage for the year, 51.65 miles per gallon.
(21.96km/liter, 63.03 miles per imperial gallon, 4.55 liter per 100km)

It is a hybrid car (PriusC) and very sensitive to the temperature of the
air around it. It does much better in the summer, and worse in the winter.

If you chart it against air temperature at time of gas purchase you can see
it more clearly:

Last year I got much better mileage than this year. I’m thinking that was
the weather as it was a cooler than normal summer.
We’ll see how the winter goes.
Snow really kills it.
The heater, light, wipers all add to the reduction in the cold. But,
pushing snow out of the way is by far the worst.

Hopefully it won’t be a bad winter.
We’ll see.

doing math hurts my brain. but looking at it in charts, no such hurt. i like graphs and charts. not the making of them myself, but they convey math to my brain in a much more easily understood way than just plain bare numbers.
