The good part 7

I saved my wife for the last in this list.  Not because she is last in any
way.  But, for the reason that the biggest stars come out last at the end
of the show, so they can get the biggest applause.

Few people realize how much of her time, energy, heart and soul my wife
poured into this production.  When we started planning it 16 months ago she
was quite clear saying “I can’t do it alone.”
And, I’m not saying she did.  But, she did 95% of it on her own.  She
stayed awake nights worrying about things.  She ordered things more than a
year in advance for the show.  She made all sorts of lists and notes on
what needed to be done.
All so that other people could have a good time.

While I know she wanted the patrons to have a good time, the people she
really targeted to have a good time were her friends.  The folks in our
troupe.  The folks in other groups we know and respect.  The folks who
drove thousands of miles to be with us.  And, the folks who have stood
beside us in the bad times.
She wanted all of those people to have a good time with us.

And, she succeeded brilliantly.
