This week’s practice

We were practicing a Spanish knife fighting method that involves a lot of tossing the knife from one hand to the other.


When tossing it between my left hand and right I got some sort of insect sting on my right hand.

It is hard to believe that I bug got onto the blade in the second or less the knife moved through the air, but my left hand didn’t get stung and it was right where I grabbed the knife. It hurt a good bit, and swelled up some, so I am fairly sure it was an insect sting. Just hard to see how it happened that fast.

But, other sword fighting was done.


Then, we moved on to fire, starting with training newer folks on safety.


Then, doing the actual fire.








The boy of glass wants to do fire. Technically he’s too young for public performances, but we car start him learning so that when he does hit the appropriate age, he can go right into it.
