Tuesday had strange weather. The day was nice.

But, towards sunset some fog rolled in.

This led to bad traffic at rush hour.

The sun broke through at points. But, it moved in and out as I drove home.

But, I guess it still led to bad traffic.

The next day the weather was nice.

And, the leaves are near peak.

Due to traffic, I drove home back roads through Berlin. As

manue7a had asked about it last week, here are some photos of the Berlin near me.

That led me to go home by the Reservoir. Very pretty.

Thursday on the way home it started to rain.

This meant some different roads again.

Friday my drive home started with a big rainbow outside of work.

It is hard to see in the photos, but it was actually a double rainbow with a fainter one outside the main one.

As I drove home, the rain got worse and worse.

A major storm was moving over the area.

Many of the roads were very bad or closed altogether.

After I got home we lost power for a short bit. Soon after, our doorbell rang. This was a surprise as we weren’t expecting anyone. It turned out to be

palusbuteo who had been on his way home past where we live. The police had stopped him telling him the road was flooded, so he stayed at our place for a few hours until the floor receded.
(We live on a hill. That is often a good thing for us.)
