Basketball court sword practice

Our last two practices of the year are being held at our apartment complex instead of our normal practice grounds.


This is nice for us as it is a very short commute.

Plenty of room for sword fighting as none of the neighbors seem to play basketball.

Plenty of room…


Tom brought his son this week, so there was young person sword fighting too.


As his mother is a professional photographer, we let him try the camera too.
Some good photos.


Some like you’d expect from a 4 year old.


But, sword fighting still goes on.



A lot of time was spent on Tom and the new guy getting a fight for 2 weeks from now.


At some point the sun came out. That was nice.


But, we still practiced anyhow.



After practice we headed down to the lake. The new bridge across it was being dedicated and we wanted to see the fire works.
We got there early and went to the sushi place we like that is right next to the bridge.


Then, we went out to look at the bridge.


They started with the colored lights.



Then, the fire works started.
It was a very nice show that went on for 20 minutes.



Then, bad traffic afterwards.

So, we went over to the market to get something for desert and then headed home.

The sword fighting video makes much more sense than the still photos. It's cool to watch. It would be neat for someone randomly walking by to see.

It's weird to see the light show on the bridge because my job is lighting and I have actually lit bridges myself ;p hahah

Oh to be a 4yr old, getting to play with swords :) Lucky kid :)

That sounds like a cool job. I know folks who have done lighting for concerts and similar shows, but never something like a bridge.
