fbhjr: (Bad Phoenix)

One of the things we ask members of Phoenix Swords is to do at least one
show per year. If you don’t then we assume you’ve got better things to do
with your time and take you off of our email distribution and stop inviting
you to jobs.
Some folks who drop off come back. Most don’t.

Today one of our members dropped off as it was a year ago yesterday that
they did their last job with us.

This drops us from 13 performers to 12.
But, there are three others that will drop off if they don’t do our next
job with us. As our next job is this Sunday and I haven’t seen any of them
at practice since last October, I think they are going to drop off too.
That is a bigger deal as it means we will be in single digits for number of
performers for the first time since 2002.
OK. A person who has only been a supporting person at shows is planning on
performing Sunday and that would move them into the performer category, so
we may well stay at 10.
But, even 10 is the lowest we’ve ever had.

So, as is so often the case, I made a chart to see how it has gone over the
years:

One of the things that really stood out for me is the number 10.
10 shows so far this year.
10 members have done shows.
10 guest starts have joined us.
10 people is the most we’ve had at any show.
We’ve done 307 shows. Add the digits together and you get 10.

I have no idea why 10 is such a repeating number.
